Brendan Jackson, MD, MPH, (CDR, US Public Health Service) is the Senior Advisor for Preparedness and Response for CDC’s National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases. He previously served as Incident Manager of the agency’s COVID-19 response and lead of CDC’s combined response for COVID-19, influenza, and RSV this past fall and winter virus season. Dr. Jackson is trained as an internist, preventive medicine physician, and medical epidemiologist. He is passionate about reinvigorating public health, improving public communications, and strengthening partnerships with a wide range of partners for prevention and preparedness.
