Mr. Tate’s career highlights include more than three decades of public sector experience at the U.S. Social Security Administration (SSA) that includes research, strategic planning, process improvement, policy development, and operations management (Headquarters and Field Office components). While at the agency, Mr. Tate served as the National Chairperson for the Black Affairs Advisory Council. He currently serves as a national officer for Iota Pho Theta Fraternity, Inc., with key responsibilities that include program management, volunteer resource management, and compliance. He has provided Fraternity oversight for more than $1 million in grant funding over a 2 to 3-year period, supporting program initiatives for the National Council of Negro Women and the National Council on Aging. Mr. Tate holds B.S. and M.A. degrees in Economics from Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland.
