Shauvon Simmons-Wright, M.Ed., serves as a Senior Director of Programs & Strategy leading a diverse team of professionals that provides onsite & virtual technical assistance, training, facilitation, resources, and support to school districts, public health professionals, and community stakeholders to improve whole child health outcomes for youth and families nationwide. Shauvon has vast experience building the capacity of districts, schools, and community stakeholders to make sustainable policy, systems, and environmental changes. She has leveraged national collaborative partnerships to provide support and resources for schools and communities.
Shauvon has over 20 years’ experience working in school and community settings providing training, curriculum development, technical assistance, and resource dissemination. She has worked collaboratively with various national partners and organizations to establish healthier environments for youth and families. Shauvon has served as a program manager across North Carolina working directly with school-districts and communities, as national subject matter expert advisor working with numerous departments of education and departments of health focused on local school wellness policy, and a director for Healthier Generation over the past 16 years. She serves on multiple North Carolina coalitions and serves as a national board member for American School Health Association.
