After nearly 13 years as Executive Director of the ACLU of Texas, Terri Burke is now Executive Director of The Immunization Partnership. Burke started out as a political reporter and then rose to senior newsroom roles at the Hartford (Ct) Courant, Dallas Morning News, Austin American-Statesman and Albuquerque Tribune. She ended her career as Editor of the Abilene (TX) Reporter-News.
Burke was an adjunct professor of journalism at the University of Texas at Austin and a lecturer at the American Press Institute. A board member of the Texas Democracy Foundation, which publishes the Texas Observer, she also serves as its treasurer. She is a member of the Philosophical Society of Texas.
Burke attended the University of Texas at Austin and completed the Executive Nonprofit CEOs program at Stanford Graduate School of Business.
